The Steve Tshwete Greenhouse Gas Inventory was conducted using data from 2012 calendar year as the baseline year. The inventory is compliant with the international accounting protocols, techniques and methodologies of both the International Local Government Greenhouse Gas Emissions Analysis Protocol and the Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
